Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Environmental Services Technician, you'll keep our patient rooms and all areas of the hospital clean and sanitized. This protects everyone from potential illness or injury due to infectious diseases or other hazards.
Every day, you will perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, or dusting. You will also use specialized equipment and techniques to further sanitize our facility. This role requires you to learn and adhere to proper disposal techniques for biohazard materials, including bodily fluids or sharp objects. You may also refill soap dispensers, paper towel dispensers, and other supplies, as well as deliver clean linens.

What you'll do...
Floor Care: Perform all types of comprehensive floor care, including stripping, waxing, buffing, and shampooing carpets as assigned.
Sanitization: Clean and disinfect patient rooms, restrooms, and common areas using specialized equipment and chemical solutions to maintain a sterile environment.
Biohazard Management: Safely collect, transport, and dispose of biohazardous waste, sharps, and soiled linens in strict accordance with hospital safety protocols.
Equipment Maintenance: Properly clean, maintain, and store all cleaning equipment, tools, and machinery to ensure operational efficiency.
Supply Management: Monitor and replenish all dispensers (soap, paper towels, sanitizer) and deliver clean linens to various departments throughout the facility.
Safety Compliance: Conduct regular inspections of assigned areas to identify and report maintenance needs, ensuring all environmental health and safety standards are met.
Preferred
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous Healthcare experience.
