The posted compensation range of $31.92 - $46.29 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Responsibilities
Job Summary / Purpose
Supervises, instructs, and evaluates Respiratory Care technical staff members, assists the Director/Manager in the overall management of the Respiratory Care Department, provides direct patient care as needed.Working Relationships:Respiratory Care Supervisors are responsible to the Director/Manager of Respiratory Care, and supervise the Respiratory Care Practitioners. They are in daily contact with subordinates, co-workers, patients, and other medical staff and physicians.
Essential Key Job Responsibilities
- Must be able to lift, push, or pull 50 lbs., sit, walk, stand extensively and be able to perform fine and gross motor skills. Physical coordination, mobility, verbal articulation, vision, and learning must be easily performed.
- May be exposed to blood, body tissue and fluids regularly, as well as other hazardous waste materials. Must be able to tolerate environmental temperature fluctuations.
- May be exposed to radiation, toxins, dust, cytotoxins, and/or poisonous substances. May be exposed, periodically to physical injury, burns, noise, and some electrical hazards.
- Licensed Respiratory Therapists are qualified to perform respiratory care procedures as evidenced by education, training, experience and competency assessments. Preceptor supervision will be required during onboarding and orientation. The therapist should be able to independently carry out all respiratory therapy procedures at completion of orientation. Critical care competencies may require additional education and training (i.e. intubation, arterial line insertions) Once these competencies are completed the employee is able to independently perform the procedures
- Other duties as assigned by management.

Required Education for Staff Job Levels:
Associate Degree in Respiratory Care
Preferred Education and Experience:
At least 5 years clinical experience preferred.
Required Licensure and Certifications:
Resp-Lic:KY,
RRT;
BLS-CPR;
ACLS - within 3 months

None
