Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Sterile Processing Professional, you will be a critical guardian of patient safety, ensuring surgical teams receive correct, fully functional, and sterile instrumentation.
Every day, you will expertly perform decontamination, prep and pack, sterilization, and dispatch with efficiency, expertise, and accuracy, delivering instruments with resourcefulness, determination, courtesy, and professionalism. You will continuously expand your knowledge of standards and procedures for surgical instrumentation.
To be successful in this role, you will possess exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a rigorous commitment to infection control, ensuring optimal surgical outcomes with a professional demeanor.
- Provide quality customer service.
- Perform duties in a safe manner, to prevent injury to self, patients, visitors or other hospital personnel.
- Contribute to maintaining supplies and sterile items for use throughout the hospital.
- Process Code Carts
- Contribute to the efficient operation of the department.
- Perform cleaning and decontamination duties.
Job Requirements
Required
- High School Graduate General Studies and Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a sterile processing technician, upon hire or
- High School GED General Studies and Minimum 1 year experience as a Sterile Processing Tech II, upon hire
- Certified and Registered Central Service Technician, upon hire or
- Certified Sterile Processing and Dist Supervisor, upon hire or
- Certified Sterile Processing and Dist Tech, upon hire or
- Cert Sterile Processing Dist Tech, upon hire
