Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Resource Sonographer II, you will perform diagnostic and vascular procedures on patients using advanced ultrasound technologies to examine tissue and body structures.

Every day, you will obtain patient history, explain routine procedures, and address patient concerns, ensuring comfort and understanding. You will be responsible for meticulously maintaining patient records and files. Your core duties include performing all standard and advanced ultrasound techniques and examinations, including abdominal, retroperitoneal, limited OB/GYN scans, and specialized vascular tests such as carotid imaging, peripheral plethysmography, doppler waveform, segmental pressure, venous imaging, and thoracic outlet studies.

To be successful in this role, you will possess a current Sonographer certification/license and extensive clinical experience performing a wide range of diagnostic and vascular ultrasound procedures. You will demonstrate exceptional technical proficiency, a keen eye for detail in image acquisition and interpretation, and strong interpersonal and communication skills for patient interaction.

  • Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.
  • Performs procedures to ensure quality patient care in accordance with Radiologist’s expectations and protocols.
  • Displays knowledge and complies with the National Patient Safety goals.
  • Supports and reports any identified compliance matters.
  • Participates in hospital and department quality assurance programs to ensure safety and satisfaction.
  • Maintains professional development and education for technical competency.

Required

  • Graduate from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology,, upon hire or
  • Graduate of AMA Accredited Sonography Program,, upon hire or
  • Graduate of accredited School of Diagnostic Medical Sonography and equivalent clinical experience., upon hire
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, upon hire or
  • Registered Cardiac Electr, upon hire or
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, upon hire or
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Abdomen, upon hire or
  • Registered Technologist Computed Tomography, upon hire or
  • Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT, upon hire or
  • Registered Technologist Vascular Sonography, upon hire or
  • Registered Vascular Specialist, upon hire or
  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer CCI, upon hire or
  • Registered Vascular Technologist, upon hire and
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
