The posted compensation range of $15.61 - $22.34 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary / Purpose
The Patient Navigator will act as the key non-clinical contact that identifies needs and provides information about services and processes.
Essential Key Job Responsibilities
- Serves as the initial contact and representative to new patients entering CHI Saint Joseph Cancer Center
- Guide patients through and around barriers within the CHI Saint Joseph Cancer Center and CHI Saint Joseph Health to ensure their entry into our program is as seamless and as coordinated as possible
- Maintaining communication with patients, families, and health care providers to monitor patient satisfaction.
- Direct patients to resources and manage information up to the patient’s initial consultation in the Cancer Center.
- Coordinating screenings and appointments as needed prior to the initial consultation.
- Arranging transportation and helping to remove any other barriers to care through referrals and working with other staff within the cancer center and health system (i.e. financial navigation, social work, etc.)
- Coordinates communication and hand off with the RN Navigator in the Cancer Center.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Two years of related experience in a healthcare environment.
Strong customer service skills.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
