Responsibilities

Job Summary / Purpose

We are currently in search of a dynamic, passionate, and skilled Marketing and Communications Specialist to join the {Market] as part of the broader {Region} team. In this pivotal role, you will be reporting into the market-based marketing and communication leadership team and will be instrumental in shaping and executing marketing and communication strategies within our market. The Marketing & Communications Specialist supports marketing and communications efforts for all clinics, facilities and services within the {   }  market, which includes the development and implementation of marketing and communications strategies and plans. The role works in coordination and under the direction and alignment with the region and system marketing & communications leadership teams respectively.

Essential Key Job Responsibilities

  1. Works with market executives and leaders to establish annual marketing and communications strategies aligned with local strategic plans and overall market priorities. 
  2. Leads a market-based marketing and communications team to oversee functions including media relations, advertising, social media, internal communication, external communications, public relations, and brand/reputation management.
  3. Develops, implements, and monitors comprehensive marketing and communication strategies that align with the goals and strategies within the respective market, the broader region and the enterprise as a whole.
  4. Works with system and regional teams and associated agencies and partners to determine best opportunities for media placement across all services.
  5. Develops and maintains detailed annual budgets reconciliation and tracking reports for marketing and communications spends. 
  6. Oversees marketing & communications growth programs, reputation building and engagement campaign development and optimization for the market.
  7. Leads internal and external communication efforts for unique market-based projects and initiatives.
  8. Develops and deploys market-based internal communication programs to achieve high engagement among employees and providers. Measures effectiveness through ongoing audits and feedback tools. 
  9. Leads a lean market-based team of marketing & communications  managers and specialists.  
  10. Provides leadership and direction to the {Market] marketing and communications team, fostering an environment of continuous learning and improvement.
  11. Collaborates with the Region and system marketing and communication teams to ensure consistency in communications, marketing, and branding efforts.
  12. Tracks marketing and communications performance metrics and makes data-driven decisions to improve and optimize strategies.
  13. Coordinates with other departments to ensure alignment between marketing strategies and company objectives.
  14. Stays up-to-date on industry trends and developments and incorporates this knowledge into marketing strategies.
  15. Manages and optimizes the marketing & communications budget to maximize program performance and ROI.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Required Education and Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field. 
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in marketing and/or communications roles, preferably within the healthcare industry.
  • Proven track record of success in developing and implementing strategic marketing and communications plans.

  • Strong understanding of healthcare, marketing and communications  trends, regulations, and best practices.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and senior executives.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
