The posted compensation range of $35.12 - $50.92 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
Responsibilities
The Market Director, Mission and Community Health is an integral member of the mission team at CHI Saint Joseph Health, providing leadership to integrate the mission and core values into the fabric of the organization and working collaboratively to promote community health and a robust volunteer program. This position is responsible for shaping a culture of ministry across CHI Saint Joseph Health by leading efforts that promote and unite people around the mission, vision, values and heritage that shape all aspects of organizational life. Specifically, this position:
- Leads educational and formational programs to promote our core values of collaboration, inclusion, integrity, compassion and excellence and reflect our faith tradition including new employee orientation and ongoing mission reinforcement initiatives.
- Develops and maintains ongoing relationships and partnerships with Catholic dioceses, parishes and educational organizations to advance our mission, values and ensure a robust volunteer program.
- Collaborates with external community organizations to develop strategic partnerships that advances healthy communities and reduces health risks and disparities including CHNAs and community health improvement strategies and programs.
- Provides mission and spiritual resources and support to leadership teams across the system, CHI Saint Joseph Health ministry presidents and service line leaders.
- In collaboration with Human Resources and the Foundation supports employee engagement, retention and assistance programs including the Humankindness Havens.
- Supports the Market Vice President of Mission to provide leadership formation programs including Called to Lead, Leading Together and other formational offerings across CHI Saint Joseph Health.
- Ensures ongoing comprehensive community benefit reporting, ongoing progress reporting and the development of an annual community benefit report.
- Works collaboratively with administrative and clinical leadership to implement a growth strategy that positions the organization to take advantage of future opportunities, meets the needs of the population served and aligns with our mission.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
Masters Other in healthcare management, theology, spirituality, behavioral science or related fields required.
- Minimum of three (3) years of progressive responsibility in a related field (e.g., Spiritual Care, Healthcare, etc.) required.
- Minimum of two (2) years of Supervisory/management experience required.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Training
Maintains a high level of confidentiality with sensitive information and knowledge of, and commitment to, the promotion, philosophy and mission of Catholic health care as a ministry of the Church.
Understands the tenets and practices of Catholicism and Catholic social teaching and familiarity with a diversity of spiritualities.
Knowledge and understanding of Catholic social teachings and their implications for Catholic health care
Provides guidance to ensure congruence with the mission and values of CommonSpirit and the teachings of the Catholic Church.
Preference is for a candidate of the Catholic faith tradition, exceptions include candidate’s ability to be conversant with Catholicism and with experience in Catholic healthcare.
