Job Summary and Responsibilities
As a Cardiac Sonographer, you will be a pivotal member of our cardiac team, performing crucial diagnostic testing to accurately diagnose and guide the treatment of patients with a wide range of cardiovascular conditions.
Every day, you will apply your independent judgment and advanced technical skills to perform state-of-the-art imaging procedures for patients presenting with conditions such as heart failure, heart rhythm disorders, and acute myocardial infarction, supporting decisions from minimally invasive interventions to major structural repairs.
To be successful in this role, you must possess a solid understanding of echocardiography imaging equipment, master proper patient positioning techniques, and expertly produce and analyze high-quality cardiac ultrasound images. Above all, you will continuously strive to deliver an exceptional and positive experience to our patients and their caregivers.
- Implements an age appropriate plan of care in conjunction with the health care team per Scope of Service.
- Identifies/performs responsibilities that incorporate infection control procedures and universal precautions.
- Identifies/performs responsibilities in reporting abuse and violence in the workplace.
- Identifies/performs responsibilities in Code Blue.
- Identifies/performs responsibilities necessary to ensure employee health to include ergonomics.
- Attends mandatory safety offerings and complies with hospital and department radiation policies.
Job Requirements
Required
- Associates Of Science Allied Health, upon hire or
- Bachelors Other in an equivalent field and
- Registered Cardiac Electr, within 12 - months or
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer CCI, within 12 - months or
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, within 12 - months or
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Adult Echo, within 12 - months or
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, within 12 - months or
- Registered Technologist Vascular Sonography, within 12 - months or
- Registered Vascular Technologist, within 12 - months and
- Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
Preferred
- Completion of formal cardio/vascular ultrasound program
