The posted compensation range of $21.38 - $30.20 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Radiology Tech - Limited Scope, you will provide essential healthcare services by applying radiation energy to assist in patient diagnosis, performing diagnostic procedures and producing images for interpretation.
Every day you will exercise professional judgment, maintain a demeanor complementary to medical ethical principles, provide appropriate patient care, and monitor patient conditions for successful procedure completion. You will also assist with patient registration and procedures like splinting, caring for patients across all age groups, specifically excluding fluoroscopy and contrast media administration.
To be successful in this role, you will possess strong technical skills in diagnostic imaging (within limited scope), meticulous attention to patient care and safety, and the ability to exercise professional judgment while adhering to ethical principles and assisting with administrative tasks.
- Selects and operates medical imaging equipment, maintaining quality exams and following protocols.
- Prepares patients for procedures, supporting their physical and emotional needs, and performs patient assessment.
- Ensures patient safety and applies radiation protection principles for all.
- Develops, critiques, and files films according to department protocols.
- Accurately and efficiently enters and edits exams in the computer system.
- Assists the clinic team with procedures, splinting, and other duties beyond imaging.
Required
- Current enrollment in an approved school as a second year student, is acceptable
- State of employment Limited Scope Operator
- Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association within 90 day oreintation period
- Must meet continuing education requirements dictated by ARRT
Preferred
- Completion of training in an approved school
- Previous experience preferred but will consider a new grad or currently enrolled second year student
