Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Maintenance Worker II, a vital steward of our facilities, you will play a crucial role in creating a safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Every day you will perform essential maintenance service and repairs across buildings, equipment, and grounds. This includes a diverse range of responsibilities from carpentry, painting, electrical, and plumbing work, to equipment maintenance and safety testing.   • Performs a variety of general maintenance, repair, overhaul, and construction duties.
  • Constructs and repairs various items (i.e., building woodwork, windows, ceiling tiles, walls/floors, cabinets, counter tops, doors, office furniture and chairs).
  • Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures and meets all applicable codes.
  • Inspects and performs repairs on Life Safety components (i.e., fire/smoke wall, doors, exit corridors, exit stairs, & chute doors).
  • Comprehensive understanding of equipment operation, building systems, emergency procedures, and the ability to successfully provide service as needed.
  • Responsible for accurate and timely completion of documentation in Computer Maintenance Management System i.e., work orders, equipment, and area records.
Job Requirements

Required

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Two (2) to four (4) years of general maintenance experience
  • Valid State Driver's License
  • Strong communication skills: ability to read, write and speak English

Preferred

  • Completion of a trade school program
  • Technical degree in a facilities related field
  • Journeyman Plumber License or certification, HVAC or Electrical also accepted
