Responsibilities

Incumbent will promote and protect CommonSpirit Health’s integrity, and understand and accept any consequences for failure to comply with the following:

Operates under the auspices of enterprise led HR, meaning, our work will be connected and consistent across our organization with our people being at the center. Our aim is to achieve an incredible People experience in which our associates, physicians, and leaders can flourish and feel part of a connected ecosystem.Working closely with the Legal and Human Resources departments, this role is responsible for evaluating, interpreting, and providing input on appropriate policies and procedures ensuring compliance with applicable laws and protocols. In addition, this role will lead and/or provide guidance on employee relation activities, consulting, training, conducting basic and complex investigations, providing recommendations, and facilitating improvement activities and initiatives based on applicable employment laws and protocols. This role will also develop proper position statements, manage legal responses in collaboration with Legal and evaluate/manage employment trends across the system.


Qualifications

Required Education and Experience
Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience required.
5 years’ of progressive experience in Human Resources can include leadership in Human Resources.
4 years’ experience with Employee Relations


Required Licensure and Certifications

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Training
Demonstrated experience with complex investigations and composing
EEOC position statements and other legal correspondence
Extensive knowledge and experience in employment law
Ability to listen, but also to persuasively convey opinions and recommendations
Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to multitask
Effective written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to interact at all levels
Ability to be viewed as approachable and objective
Proven critical thinking skills
