Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Lead Registrar, you will serve as a critical resource and experienced leader within our Patient Access Department, driving efficiency and excellence in patient registration. You will supervise and guide a team of registrars, ensuring meticulous adherence to policies, optimizing workflow, and contributing to the overall success of our revenue cycle management. 

Every day you will gracefully greet and register patients, accurately collecting demographic and comprehensive insurance information, including verification and correct coding. You will assess patient responsibility, identify eligibility for assistance programs, and meticulously audit patient charts for accuracy.

To be successful in this role, you will possess relevant experience in medical office, hospital registration, or banking. A minimum of two years of customer service experience is required, with one year of management, supervisor, or lead experience preferred. 

  • Courteously and Professionally greet patients.
  • Obtain accurate demographic insurance information.
  • Correctly code and verify insurance coverage.
  • Collect estimated patient responsibility or screen patient for assistance programs.
  • Answer all incoming calls to the facility.
  • Provide assistance to patients presenting or calling with billing questions.
  • Process medical records requests.
Job Requirements

Required

  • High Scool Diploma/GED
  • One (1) year of recent medical office, hospital registration, or banking experience
  • Two (2) years of customer service experience
  • Must be able to commit to rotating weeks
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support

Preferred

  • Associates Degree or a combination of education and job-related experience
  • One (1) year of management, supervisor, or lead experience
