The posted compensation range of $56.25 - $56.25 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities
As a Cardiac Sonographer, you will be a pivotal member of our cardiac team, performing crucial diagnostic testing to accurately diagnose and guide the treatment of patients with a wide range of cardiovascular conditions.
Every day, you will apply your independent judgment and advanced technical skills to perform state-of-the-art imaging procedures for patients presenting with conditions such as heart failure, heart rhythm disorders, and acute myocardial infarction, supporting decisions from minimally invasive interventions to major structural repairs.
To be successful in this role, you must possess a solid understanding of echocardiography imaging equipment, master proper patient positioning techniques, and expertly produce and analyze high-quality cardiac ultrasound images. Above all, you will continuously strive to deliver an exceptional and positive experience to our patients and their caregivers
- Explains procedure to patient and/or family prior to and during examination.
- Obtains clinical history relevant to examination and consult with referring physician regarding appropriate ultrasonic procedure.
- Selects proper controls on machine, calibrates machine, and performs Echocardiography examination of diagnostic quality, visualizing and documenting as many cardiac structures as possible.
- Utilizes ancillary devices (i.e.: cameras, video records, etc.) to obtain permanent record of examination.
- Keeps equipment in good operating condition, must have the ability to detect instrument malfunctions. Inspects and ensures proper maintenance and makes minor maintenance adjustments or reports the need for major repairs.
- Selects tracings for Cardiologist interpretation. Tracings will be measured and calculated prior to submission to Cardiologist for interpretation.
