The posted compensation range of $41.99 - $41.99 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities
As a GI Technician, you will provide critical support and direct assistance during gastrointestinal procedures, ensuring a sterile, safe, and efficient environment for patient care.
Every day you will expertly prepare procedure rooms, assist physicians with equipment handling and maintenance, monitor patient comfort, and meticulously clean and sterilize instruments to uphold the highest standards of infection control.
To be successful, you will demonstrate outstanding attention to detail, strong teamwork skills, and a vigilant, proactive demeanor, contributing significantly to successful diagnostic and therapeutic GI interventions.
- Communicates effectively with RN and other healthcare professionals.
- Observes and recognizes signs of abuse / neglect.
- Includes parents / caregivers in care, involves parent / caregivers in providing care, keeps parents / caregivers in field of view when possible.
- Sets up for all GI Lab procedures.
- Checks all equipment before and after procedure.
- Interacts effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to promote effective use of resources.
Job Requirements
Required:
- High School Graduate Graduate from a Surgical Technologist program and One (1) year hospital experience., upon hire or
- Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
Preferred:
- Surgery center or GI Lab preferred., upon hire
