The posted compensation range of $38.15 - $56.75 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
Job Summary and Responsibilities
The Human Resources Director works in collaboration with the President and CommonSpirit Health National HR, to lead the HR functions of the local organization including hiring and onboarding of new employees, benefit enrollments and on-going support of employees throughout the CHI St. Joseph Children's Health. AS the HR Director the selected candidate will:
- Create and implement programs that support development of positive employee relations and culture supportive of CommonSpirit Health core values.
- Coordinate organization-wide efforts and support department and team leaders in their efforts to cultivate and maintain positive work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
- Provide day to day Human Resources guidance to employees and leaders.
- Collaborate with the President on recruitment and talent acquisition activities.
- Coordinate applicant and new hire processes including interviews, offers, pre-boarding, mandatory clearances and drug screening, and first-day requirements.
- Maintain a knowledge and understanding of employee benefits; provide new employee HR onboarding orientation.
- Coordinate and guide the performance management processes. Train employees and leaders on the process. Monitor and track the completion of performance reviews to ensure accuracy for merit increase purposes.
- Provide existing and new employees with HR and benefit education and resources through employee communications and HR onboarding process; Provide support during open enrollment, changes and implementations: distributing materials; communicating changes; conducting informational sessions as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation, ensuring that departmental leadership have required files.
- Track and maintain up to date licensure status for all applicable employees.
- Assure the integrity and confidentiality of all human resource files and records.
- Coordinate employee well-being programs including wellness and employee health programs.
- Answer frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; referring more complex questions to senior leadership.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Qualifications
Education (including licenses, certifications):
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field required.
- Master’s Degree Preferred.
Experience (required and preferred):
- Minimum of 5 years human resource experience with knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including recruitment, employee relations, benefits, performance management, compensation and payroll practices, and federal and state employment laws.
