Job Summary and Responsibilities

The Assistant Director - Therapy works in coordination with the Director of Therapy Service to provide clinical leadership, support and direction to the behavioral health therapists working with children and families at CHI St. Joseph Children’s Health. The Assistant Director to strengthen the foundations of all therapy services and are built upon a keen focus on the incorporation of best practice and family systems theory while offering each client and family personalized care and treatment strategies. The position represents clinical services on the behavioral health operations team. The position assists the Director of Therapy Services with the development, implementation and evaluation of individual and group-level therapeutic programming offered by CHI St. Joseph Children’s Health in the Lancaster Community..

Job Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate and assist the development, implementation and delivery of therapy services provided by CHI St. Joseph Children’s Health in coordination with the Director - Therapy Services. 
  • Provide training, coaching and support to Therapists on Family Systems Theory and its foundations as a part of the behavioral health program and “model” offered by St. Joseph Children’s Health.
  • Provide clinical supervision, guidance and support therapists as requested by the Director - Therapy Services.
  • Maintain positive relationships with all program partners. 
  • Assist in the evaluation of therapy services provided by CHI St. Joseph Children’s Health. Generate appropriate reports to document programmatic impact and effectiveness. 
  • Make recommendations for program improvements and changes to the Director - Therapy Services. 
  • Contribute to a learning culture within the department encouraging personal and professional growth and the implementation of best practices in the programs and services provided to children and families.
  • Maintain compliance with regard to state, federal and CHI guidelines.
