The posted compensation range of $37.31 - $59.51 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Leads program coordination for the Forensic Nurse Examiner program for the Denver Metro area participating facilities. Recruits forensic nurses and/or recruits nurses to obtain training to perform
forensic exams. Responsible for ensuring all forensic nurses receive and maintain appropriate education and competencies as outlined by the program. Serve as the subject matter expert and primary resource for Denver metro area forensic nurse examiners. Collaborates with Emergency Departments and medical staff to ensure standardization in practice and documentation. Responsible for managing the Forensic Nurse Examiner program budget. Assists with maintenance of Forensic Nurse Examiner program policies. Fulfills any grant award requirements such as writing narrative reports, obtaining necessary metrics, meetings with grantors, and signing documents. Builds and maintains relationships with law enforcement and community partners. Provides testimony in court as needed. The program coordinator will maintain clinical competency to provide forensic nurse exams as needed.
Job Requirements
In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing required
- Master's degree in Nursing preferred
- 5 years experience as a nurse in the acute care setting
- 3 years experience as a Forensic Nurse Examiner
- RN license to practice in Colorado required
Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner- Adult/Adolescent preferred
- SANE-A certification required within 6 months of hire IAFN (International Association of Forensic Nurses)
Physical requirements- Medium Work - exert/lift up to 50 lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. constantly
