The posted compensation range of $46.96 - $68.10 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Offering state-of-the-art diagnostic and comprehensive treatment services our hospital is home to a 154-bed patient tower level III trauma center advanced cardiac care center and full-service multidisciplinary cancer center. Plans, manage, supervise and coordinate the administrative and technical operations for the Department of Diagnostic and Therapeutic Radiology and Patient Transportation. This includes financial management, personnel management and operational activities at and OMT imaging services. Collaborate with the managers at the Community Emergency Centers and Kirby Glen to ensure imaging standards are maintained and regulatory compliance is consistently achieved. Responsible for overall facets of budgeting, capital acquisition, recruitment, staffing, purchasing, inventory control, equipment maintenance and service contract management. Responsible for staff development, performance improvement and quality initiatives for all of Radiology Services. Will be responsible for the development and implementation of an overall strategic business plan for the Department of Diagnostic and Therapeutic Radiology. This strategy will be inclusive of the following services and programs: Marketing, Business Development, Outcomes Management, Utilization Management, Performance Improvement, Information Systems, and Billing and Collections.
Responsibilities
1. Responsible for the daily operation of Radiology & Transportation with coordination of services between all depts. & affiliate sites.
2. Identifies operational issues; recommends & Directs changes to provide effective solutions.
3. Develops short/long term plans; Oversees space & resource allocation & sets dept. priorities.
4. Oversees quality programs & processes, Ensures all safety/regulatory requirements are maintained. Leads hospital‐ wide compliance of Radiology standards & Works closely with hospital Radiation Safety Office.
5. Develops standardized practices, equipment purchases & improvement opportunities. In coordination with hospital management team, Leads strategic planning for medical imaging initiatives & new technology.
6. Ensures compliance of hospital & dept. policies and procedures. Reviews, Establishes & modifies dept. policies as required.
7. Prepares & defends annual operating & capital budgets for Radiology & Transportation. Accountable for financial performance of all assigned cost centers.
8. Identifies cost saving & revenue producing opportunities & Leads implementation of plans.
9. Responsible for staffing & human resource management. Adheres to staffing model related to position control, new hires, promotions, transfers & separations. Responsible for staff development, performance evaluations & corrective action.
10. Leads customer service program in Radiology & Transportation.
11. Builds strong working relationships with physicians & Works collaboratively to address imaging service needs.
12. Researches, evaluates, recommends new imaging equipment & ancillary support equipment. Participates in all facets of implementation & construction required to replace imaging equipment.
13. Responsible for the effective & timely repair, maintenance, safety & optimal operating conditions of all Radiology equipment. Enforces a QC process to ensure high quality diagnostic procedures.
Qualifications
Minimum required Education and Experience:
*Bachelor's Degree required; Master's preferred
*Must have a current license or certification in related Imaging field
After January of 2016 all new hires must have:
*Bachelor's Degree in related discipline; Master's Degree strongly preferred and Minimum of 7 years experience in the discipline and 5 years leadership experience
*Five (5) years leadership experience
Required License & Certifications:
MRAD-TX (certified in Medical Radiology for Texas)
RTR (Real Time Radiology)
BLS - American Heart Association
Required MInimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Training:
Must have the capability to deal effectively and ethically with all staff in the hospital environment and must demonstrate exceptional managerial competence. Memberships in
professional organizations on a local, state, and national level are desirable.
