Overview

Established by the Sisters of the St. Francis in 1924 CHI Health Good Samaritan is a 268-bed regional referral center in Kearney Neb. At CHI Health Good Samaritan you’ll find an advanced level trauma center that also offers AirCare emergency helicopter transport and an ambulance program providing long distance and local 911 service. Among our many other services are cardiac care including open-heart surgery a level II neonatal intensive care unit a nationally accredited cancer center comprehensive neurosurgery advanced orthopedic program and inpatient and outpatient mental health services at our free-standing Richard Young Behavioral Health facility.

This position plans and implements activities that will broaden the Foundation’s donor base and establish a strong and consistent level of support. Works toward meeting established calendar of annual development activities and fund raising goals.  Assists in monitoring and implementation of various donor recognition events and cultivation of prospects.  Works with manager to provide grant administration of existing and new grants. 


Responsibilities

Foundation Development Associate

Location: CHI Health Good Samaritan, Kearney, NE

  1. Coordinates special events, SCRUBS and other similar fundraising events identified by the Foundation. 
  2. Employee and Annual Giving campaigns – develop, manage and implement the employee and annual giving campaigns. 
  3. Works closely with manager in development and preparation of solicitation strategies; makes recommendations for long range and annual development plans to reach stated goals. 
  4. Oversees all annual giving initiatives, including direct mail campaigns to enhance donor acquisition, annual employee’s campaigns, and donor recognition wall.  Recommends solicitation method, plans, and implements, evaluates and reports on activities.  Participates in major gift campaigns as required.  
  5. Responsible for communications for the Foundation, including updating website presence, social media content, newsletter creations, one page summaries etc.  
  6. Provides administrative support for campus events, including processing payments for sponsorships, tickets sales, entering payments into RE, preparing acknowledgement letters etc.  
  7. Project Management – coordinates and tracks all Foundation projects and ensures that all team members have necessary resources for effective execution of their responsibilities.  
  8.  Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

High School Diploma

  • Preferred Bachelor’s Degree Bachelor’s Degree or five years of relevant experience
  • Strong computer skills
  • Demonstrate a familiarity of database concepts
  • Proven ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance
