Job Summary and Responsibilities
Float Registered Respiratory Therapist, RRT III PRN
The TX Division Float Pool assesses, analyzes, plans, implements and evaluates patient care following established patient care standards set by the organization. The primary function of the Float Respiratory, RRT role is to be instrumental in providing a range of treatments from breathing techniques, nebulizer treatments, ventilator management, oxygen therapies, and external ventilation support. Every day you will apply your acute assessment skills and critical thinking to manage diverse patient needs, develop and execute effective care plans, and ensure calm, focused intervention in both routine and emergent situations.
Individuals must be flexible to float to various departments and sites throughout the Texas Market which could include but not limited to scheduling day of staffing. Participates as a member of the health care team in cooperation with and under the direction of a Clinical Leader.
Float Registered Respiratory Therapist, RRT III B: Employees (at times w/in minimum of a 2 hour notice) will agree to float to any facility within the Texas division. Must be available to be scheduled for a minimum of 3 shifts every week and available to be scheduled a Saturday and Sunday shift every other weekend. Must be available to be scheduled for two major holidays per policy. May take Call.
The rate of pay for this level of commitment is $56.00. Mileage reimbursement and applicable differentials will apply if eligible.

Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associates Degree
- Must complete a respiratory care degree program that is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner by the State of Texas (RCP)
- BLS
- ACLS
- Based on location assignment may also require PALS, NRP
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Effective Communication
- Knowledge of the principles and skills of the respiratory therapy process to provide patient care and treatment.
- Critical thinking skills
- Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills both written and verbal
- Basic Computer skills
