The posted compensation range of $32.08 - $46.51 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.

Responsibilities
Position Summary:
Performs a variety of specialized technical tasks associated with the operation of MRI and other imaging modalities in an outpatient setting to assist the radiologist in the detection of anatomical abnormalities OR associated with general and peripheral vascular ultrasound and either Echo or sonography modalities in an outpatient setting to assist the radiologist in the detection of anatomical abnormalities. The technologist is primarily responsible for daily operations of the outpatient MRI section, patient schedule, equipment maintenance, the report of equipment failures, and quality assessment (QA). The technologist maintains a high standard of medical ethics at all times and is self-motivated to increase level of understanding and knowledge of the field, disease, and new procedures as they evolve.
MRI/CT Tech Combination:
- Utilizes innovative customer service techniques to provide a positive patient care experience for the patient and their family.
- Acts professionally in all dealings with internal and external customers to promote a working environment that focuses on the patient experience and not operational rivalries or roadblocks to care.
- Ability to perform all tasks associated with MRI/CT Tech job description.
- Ability to perform all tasks associated with CT Tech job description.
- Screen patients for MR safety prior to procedure performance.
- Administer contrast media or as directed and per protocol.
- Evaluates the imaging study for technical quality, collate processed images and sequence of exposure and label appropriately.
- Actively participates with patient care exams, performing routine, urgent and emergent patient requests.
- Reviews the physician orders to verify the types of diagnostic exam requested and that the indication for the procedure is consistent.
- Communicates effectively with patients and their families about the procedure to be performed in order to obtain information and to offer reassurance.
- Establishes and maintains lines of communication with all other staff members and Radiologist to insure an effective and harmonious working environment.
- Completes image processing, PACs QA, including the documentation of logs, demographic and diagnostic information required for departmental, hospital and patient record documentation.
- Completes all image post-processing.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Associate’s degree (preferred)
- Must have at least 2 or more of the following: Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists – ARRT (R) (CT) (MR) (N) (M) ; must maintain current
- Certified by State of Texas – MRT; must maintain as current
- BLS certification
