Job Summary and Responsibilities

Manager BI analytics leads the identification, execution, and advancement of analytics strategy, and is responsible for the build of all technical designs for multi‐platform applications and software, and coordination  of data discovery and validation process, based on project lead and end user specifications. Develops business intelligence solutions, reports, and analytics as well as maintains collaborative relationships with business users and application teams to meet the information and reporting needs of the organization and create alignment with strategic  initiatives.  Organizes training and development of decision support analyst team to ensure proficiency of application reporting  and analysis of data to identify process improvement opportunities. The manager aligns resources to advance enterprise and local analytics needs by leveraging data and using statistical and logical analysis to achieve strategic objectives and improve business performance. 

Lead “Modern Business Intelligence” work, focused on streamlining efforts with users to develop management  dashboards and provide coaching to leaders on developing specific data sets using dashboard technology.  
Work collaboratively with internal and external customers to identify opportunities that add value and deliver actionable insights using advanced analytics capabilities.
Develop and implement data warehousing, interactive analytic reports, and dashboard solutions utilizing the  organization’s business intelligence tools.  Work with executives on how to align dashboard reporting with strategic  planning exercises
Design and generate complex reports out of multiple applications, to provide end users with data required to make  timely business decisions that impact organizational improvement.  
Maintain end user reporting tools and systems, in order to provide access, ensure accuracy of reporting, resolve  defects and issues, and improve delivery of up‐to‐date data to meet business demands. 
Identify ETL build architecture and optimal use of dashboard solutions based on departmental analytical  requirements.  
Develop and manage a team that is responsible for the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of predictive models that enhance decision-making and drive operational outcomes.

Provide technical and business intelligence training and support to departmental teams in order to increase  effectiveness of applications and analysis of data and optimize performance improvement initiatives.  
Perform data analysis, data mining and profiling, as well as build/effort estimates for projects and initiatives based on system capability, to deliver information solutions to improve departmental processes.  
Responsible for documentation and procedures for business continuity and disaster recovery as it relates to  submitted project solution designs.  
Provide technical support, including specialized technical coding and problem tracking and resolution. 
Ensure safety and confidentiality of data and analytics systems by adhering to the organizations information security policies. 


Job Requirements

Educaiton & Experience

● Bachelor’s degree. Master’s degree preferred 

● 6 + years’ experience in Data warehouse and Business Intelligence environments with expertise in developing and deploying analytics, advanced analytics and information delivery products. 

● 2-3 Years’ experience in healthcare analytics role.

● May substitute an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Training
● Advanced understanding of multidimensional and normalized database design. 

• Excellent written, verbal, and critical thinking skills, including  system and business analysis, problem analysis and resolution.  Must be able to understand technical concepts of system  environment. 

● Advanced understanding of healthcare domain and experience in creating data and analytics products in a healthcare provider organization. 

● Knowledge of best practices in implementing Data Warehouse or Business Intelligence solutions on cloud and on-premise platforms. 

● Knowledge of SQL and RDBMS, preferably Microsoft based RDBMS like SQL Server. 

● Knowledge of MPP data platforms like SQL Data Warehouse 

● Familiar with data analytics and integration tools like QlikSense
