The posted compensation range of $41.14 - $61.20 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Communications Manager, you will serve as a dynamic, essential voice for the Southern market, reporting directly to the Market Director while aligning with regional and system-wide leadership to shape and execute marketing and communication strategies that support our clinics, facilities, and services.
Every day you will execute vital communication tasks, including managing platforms, drafting high-quality content, and operating internal systems to ensure the timely dissemination of information, while monitoring campaign effectiveness and refining messaging to enhance our overall reach.
To be successful in this role, you will possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, technical proficiency with industry tools, meticulous attention to detail, and a proactive, adaptable mindset that ensures impactful connections with diverse stakeholders and upholds our brand standards.
- Develop and execute comprehensive public relations strategies to enhance organizational reputation across key stakeholders, including patients, community partners, government agencies, and healthcare industry associations
- Proactively identify, monitor, and mitigate potential reputational risks, including addressing misinformation and managing corporate responses during sensitive organizational or industry challenges
- Champion executive positioning initiatives, including media relations, speaking engagements, and conference representation, while overseeing the production of high-quality external content across digital and print channels
- Lead the development and deployment of internal communication strategies, including organizational change management, leadership messaging, and internal campaigns that drive employee satisfaction and wellness
- Provide vision, guidance, and professional development to a team of communication professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and high performance
- Partner with HR, IT, and clinical leadership to refine communication channels and organizational messaging, utilizing data-driven insights to measure impact and continuously improve communication effectiveness
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field
- Minimum of six (6) years of experience in marketing and/or communications roles
- Proven track record of success in developing and implementing strategic marketing and communications plans
- Strong understanding of healthcare marketing and communications trends, regulations, and best practices
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to various audiences
- Excellent presentation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and senior executives
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Preferred
- Minimum of six (6) years of experience in marketing and/or communications roles within the healthcare industry
