Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

At Post Health Home Care, we strive to embody our mission of delivering hope and healing to those we serve. As a Chaplain, you’ll engage in a range of exciting responsibilities, including:

  • Provides spiritual support for inpatients, outpatients, relatives of patients, and staff members.
  • Empathizes and prays with the ill, the dying patients, and their families.
  • Provides for follow-up visits as needed.
  • Confers with medical and nursing staff in regards to the spiritual needs of patients.
  • Partners with the broader community to meet spiritual and emotional needs.
  • Demonstrates sensitivity to the sacramental and spiritual needs of patients, families, staff, and community.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree, or equivalent, in a theological discipline such as theology, pastoral ministry, or related field.Successful completion of at least four units of approved Clinical Pastoral Education.  
  • Three years pastoral experience, and at least one year experience in a health care setting
  • NACC Certification of Standing/Affiliation with NACC - CHAPLAIN, or APC board certified chaplain – BCC-APC.
