Manager Graduate Medical Education
The posted compensation range of $30.47 - $44.19 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
Responsibilities
The Graduate Medical Education Manager oversees the daily activities of the administrative office and staff, residents, medical staff and departments to ensure each of the sponsored training programs maintain accreditation from the ACGME.
- Ensures residency and fellowship programs meet regulatory agency policies with accrediting bodies, ACGME, state licensing, the education committee for foreign medical graduates, Medicare auditors and prospective residents and families by establishing relationships to maintain awareness of new/changed regulation and consult on policies. Reviews and updates requirements against individual resident's qualifications and education progress.
- Hires, trains, develops and manages staff to ensure a qualified staff exists to meet GME objectives.
- Plans, assigns and reviews work of graduate medical education staff to ensure that GME objectives are met.
- Communicates regularly with administrative officers, medical staff, and staff employees to ensure that ptorm remains accredited; responds to departmental inquiries regarding ACGME applications, NRMP, etc.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in healthcare related field required, Master's Preferred (5 years experience leading a physician residency program would be considered in lieu of degree)
- Must have an expansive knowledge of AOA/ACGME accreditation requirements
- Previous experience with physician/medical education required
- Must have the ability to work with individuals at all levels of the organization
