The posted compensation range of $25.55 - $38.00 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Resident Pharmacist, you will complete an intensive post-graduate training program, developing advanced clinical skills and expertise to deliver patient-centered pharmaceutical care and optimize medication safety.
Every day you will rotate through diverse clinical settings, providing direct patient care under supervision. You'll evaluate medication regimens, make evidence-based recommendations, monitor therapy, and educate. Responsibilities include interdisciplinary participation, research, and contributing to quality initiatives.
To succeed, you'll need exceptional clinical knowledge, strong critical thinking, excellent communication for team collaboration/education, and a profound commitment to learning, patient safety, and advancing pharmacy practice. Self-motivation and adaptability are essential.
- Ensures compliance with the hospital's formulary and approved policies and protocols related to medication management. (EF)
- Supervises unit dose drug distribution program: Ensures the accurate and prompt delivery of unit dosed medications to patients. (EF)
- Prepares intravenous products in accordance with written departmental guidelines. (EF)
- Monitors patient medication therapy and evaluates initiation of approved protocols. (EF)
- Assists nursing units/areas to monitor the proper storage and distribution of patient's floor stock, controlled substances and emergency medications. (EF)
- Appropriately participates in the maintenance and management of patient's medication orders; in regards to order evaluation, order entry, storage and retrieval. (EF)
Job Requirements
Required
- Doctor Of Pharmacy Degree from accredited school of pharmacy., upon hire and
- Pharmacist Intern: NV, upon hire and
- Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire and
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 60 Days and
Preferred
- Hospital pharmacy experience., upon hire
- Pharmacist: NV, upon hire
