Responsibilities
Job Summary
- The primary function of the Performance Improvement and Patient Safety Program Manager is to support coordinate and facilitate the performance improvement (PI) risk management patient safety and regulatory/accreditation compliance activities for the hospital and medical staff.
- This role also serves as a resource to employees management nursing directors senior management councils physicians and PI teams.
- This role will handle private patient and highly sensitive information ensuring absolute protection and confidentiality of all hospital-related matters.
Qualifications
Experience
One (1) year healthcare-related performance improvement or patient safety/risk management experience (e.g. chart audits PI team member etc.) and three (3) years clinical experience in an acute care setting. Education
Education
Bachelors Degree at a minimum in a healthcare-related field.
Licensure
Current state license in a clinical field in state of practice. Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) or Healthcare Quality and Management Certification (HCQM) or Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS) or Certified Professional in Health Care Risk Management (CPHRM) within 2 years of employment is required.
