The posted compensation range of $38.81 - $56.28 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
Responsibilities
Position Summary:
The Clinical Educator II provides staff development expertise in their assigned specialty as an educator, expert clinician, consultant, facilitator, change agent, leader, patient advocate and researcher. Each supports the clinical and professional development of their staff, with a goal of achieving excellence in the delivery of evidence based nursing practice. The Clinical Educator II facilitates the educational process through assessment, development, planning, implementation and evaluation of competency, continuing education and professional development. In addition, as a role model of professional behavior, the Clinical Educator II assists in creating a professional nursing climate and supports the SRDH mission, vision and values. Reporting relationship: Direct reporting to Education leadership.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5 years of applied clinical experience as an RN in assigned specialty, or as a Clinical Educator or Clinical Instructor.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and Master's Degree in Nursing,
- Education or related area, or current enrollment in a Master's Degree program with an education plan approved by the CNE which will allow completion of the Master's Degree program within three years. Will accept Bachelor's Degree in a related field with a Master's Degree in Nursing.
- RN = RN license from NV State Nursing Board.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power point.
Preferred Qualifications:
- National certification in specialty or Professional Staff Development. Instructor status in at least one of the mandatory certifications required for assigned specialty.
