Responsibilities
Summary:
Provides speech pathology including assessments and developing and implementing treatment programs. Specialized assessment for the appraisal of neuropathologies as they relate to communication and swallowing function including aphasia, cognition, dysphagia and dysarthria
**$5,000 Relocation and $5,000 Sign On**
Skills Required:
- Provides effective and adequate treatment: ongoing assessment of treatment effectiveness, goals and treatment are modified as appropriate in relation to working toward goals
Medical terminology, current speech pathology techniques, standards, principles and procedures
- Selects appropriate treatment interventions, utilizes specialized techniques
- Patient safety is addressed with follow-up recommended, recommends/obtains equipment as appropriate
- Provides treatment for multiple diagnoses and levels of care appropriate to the age of the patients served
- Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span of the patient
- Interprets knowledge needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs
- Patient/family education and training
Qualifications
Required:
- Has a minimum of one year's clinical experience in Speech/Language Pathology
- Current California license as a Speech Pathologist, Possesses and maintains current CPR certification
