Job Summary and Responsibilities

The Cardiology Technician is responsible for performing all cardiac diagnostic procedures, primarily: EKG and EKG MUSE Medical entry and records. Cardiology technicians may also be responsible for EEG, treadmill exercise tests, Holter monitoring and scanning, pacemaker analysis and telephonic arrhythmia monitoring.


Job Requirements

Required:

  • Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR)
  • Graduate of a program for cardiovascular technology
  • Certification from the National Board for Cardiovascular Technology

Preferred:

  • One year experience performing EKG's and treadmill exercise testing in an acute care hospital
  • EEG experience
