The posted compensation range of $18.74 - $25.77 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. The Progressive Care Unit at St. Francis is a 33 bed unit, proudly being the primary stroke unit, along with a focus in cardiac and sepsis care. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with other members of the nursing team, to build on your education and experiences in areas such as cardiac, telemetry, neurology, sepsis, and surgical care. We strive to provide a high level of care that allows our community and surrounding areas to receive healthcare close to home.
Responsibilities
**$5,000 sign-on bonus for external candidates**
Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Physician, Licensed Practical Nurse functions as a vital member of the healthcare team who contributes to the success of the practice by demonstrating customer/patient focus, effective communication, professionalism, and teamwork. Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate comprehensive care provided to selected patient populations and their families.
- Performs basic nursing care to patients by following established standards and procedures.
- Collects patient data such as vital signs; notes how the patient looks and acts, or responds to stimuli, and reports this information accordingly.
- Prepares and administers injections, performs routine tests, treats wounds, and changes bandages.
- Prepares patient records and files using established medical record forms/automated systems and documentation practices
Qualifications
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing program.
- Must have current/valid Nebraska Licensed Practical Nurse license.
- Must have BLS through the American Heart Association.
