Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Security Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating the daily activities of the security team, ensuring the safety and security of our premises, patients, staff, and visitors.

Every day you will manage and mentor security personnel, assign patrols and posts, respond to incidents, enforce security policies, and conduct investigations, all while maintaining a visible and reassuring presence.

To be successful, you will demonstrate strong leadership, effective communication, and a comprehensive understanding of security protocols and emergency response, crucial for maintaining a safe and secure environment.

  • Manages and coordinates responses to critical incidents. Monitors and documents actual and potential security breaches. Ensures delivery of quality services; regulatory compliance, manages operations efficiently and effectively to achieve service and revenue objectives.
  • Conducts ongoing security orientation and training of assigned staff and may serve as Field Training Officer. Able to anticipate, recognize, and deal effectively with existing or potential conflicts at the individual, group, or situation level; ability to apply this understanding appropriately to diverse situations. Provides leadership for Security Services. Assist with Oversight of the campus security and parking force.
  • Maintains a comprehensive inspection, test and maintenance program for all security physical and electronic measures. Follows up on pending security issues, Demonstrates breadth and/or depth of professional/technical skills and capabilities required for position; shares knowledge; sets or contributes to the Company’s direction within area of expertise.
  • Knowledge of the procedures and programs in place in the organization to ensure employee safety (occupational health, fire safety and emergency response plan); ability to take appropriate and immediate actions in case of an emergency. Knowledge of tools, techniques and technologies to ensure premises security; ability to undertake risk assessment and ensure the safety of life and property in physical premises.
  • Manages collaboratively and coaches others to achieve optimal performance; delegates effectively; praises/rewards contributions; defines clear roles and responsibilities; sets goals and leads initiatives; adjusts plans as necessary.
Job Requirements

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • One (1) year experience as a security officer involving extensive contact and/or law enforcement and military security experience in a leadership capacity.
  • Security Guard: CA.
  • Driver's License: CA within 30 days.
  • Basic Life Support - CPR within 90 days.
  • Familiar with Joint Commission, Knowledge of Environment o Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and OSHA regulations and standards.
  • Workplace violence training within 6 months.
  • Has completed ICS 100, 200, and 700 training or will so within 120 days.
  • International Association of Healthcare Security Services (IAHSS) Basic Advanced courses within 90 days.
  • IAHSS Supervisor course within 6 months.
