The posted compensation range of $47.36 - $68.66 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP), you will be a vital clinical professional, dedicated to providing high-quality respiratory care to pediatric, adult, and geriatric critical care patients.
Every day, under medical and departmental direction, you'll deliver essential respiratory care per physician orders and policies. You'll ensure critical care services are met, meticulously manage equipment, and adapt care plans to optimize patient outcomes.
To be successful, you'll combine strong clinical expertise, meticulous attention to detail, excellent communication, and a compassionate approach, directly contributing to healing and recovery in critical care.
- Meets annual competency requirement prior to evaluation date.
- Abides by all policies and procedures as outlined in the Dignity Health, GMH&HC, and RC&NS manuals
- Ensure their RCP license issued by the State of Calif., Respiratory Care Board is renewed by its expiration date.
- Maintain BCLS standard per department policy
- Performs the following routine procedures: aerosol therapy with or without medication; I.P.P.B. treatments; chest physiotherapy; respiratory assessments; maintain patients on mechanical ventilation: monitors vital signs; pulse oximetry; M.D.I. therapy; aids in CPR, educates patients and other procedures as assigned.
- May perform special procedures when properly cross trained and has completed the skilled check off list and post test, if applicable. Special procedures include: Arterial blood gases (drawing and analyzing), pulmonary function testing; assist in bronchoscopies; exercise testing; metabolic evaluation, etc.
Job Requirements
- Must be an NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist.
- Must be a graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care program.
- Must have a current State of California Respiratory Care Practitioner License.
