Job Summary and Responsibilities

We are seeking enthusiastic and skilled Mental Health Workers (MHWs) to join our Psychiatric Acute Care Unit. In this vital role, you will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide direct patient care, maintain a safe and therapeutic environment, and support patients on their path to stabilization and recovery
- Provide continuous observation and monitoring of patients, reporting any changes in mental status, behavior, or physical condition to nursing staff promptly.
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic milieu through ongoing environmental scans, close observation, and adherence to security protocols
- Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, families, and all members of the healthcare team.
- Participate in shift reports and treatment team meetings.
- Work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, and therapists.
Job Requirements
- High School GED Required.
- 2 years of acute psychiatric care experience required.
- Associates Other in progress for social sciences or psychology. Preferred.
- Bachelor's in progress for social sciences or psychology preferred.
- AHA BLS certification is also required.
