Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Infection Control Manager, you will strategically lead and manage comprehensive infection prevention and control programs to safeguard patients, staff, and visitors.

Every day you will oversee surveillance, investigation, and reporting of healthcare-associated infections (HAIs); develop and implement evidence-based policies; educate staff; and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

You will actively monitor trends, conduct risk assessments, and lead outbreak investigations to promote a robust culture of safety.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate expertise in epidemiology, infectious diseases, and regulatory requirements, coupled with strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills. A proven ability to drive continuous improvement and achieve Certification in Infection Control (CIC) is highly valued.

Job Requirements

Minimum of three (3) years clinical experience in Nursing, Microbiology, Biology, or Public Health, and two (2) years of experience as an Infection Preventionist in an acute care facility.  

Bachelor's degree in Science (Microbiology, Biology, Nursing, Public Health).  

An active license in state of practice is required for a Registered Nurse or Clinical Lab Scientist. Certification in Infection Prevention and Control by the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology (CBIC) to be obtained during the first two (2) years of hire.

Serving over 70,000 patients annually, the hospital offers a full complement of services including a Level III NICU, heart care, wound care and surgical services.
