The posted compensation range of $24.00 - $24.00 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities
As an Environmental Services Worker, you will provide critical environmental services and meticulous attention to cleanliness, ensuring a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Every day, you will expertly clean and disinfect patient rooms, common areas, and high-touch surfaces, manage waste disposal, operate specialized equipment, and meticulously follow infection control protocols to maintain impeccable standards.
To be successful, you will demonstrate outstanding attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a dependable, conscientious demeanor, contributing significantly to a healthy and comfortable facility environment
- Consistently completes assigned work on time while meeting quality, safety, and regulatory standards. Informs supervisor immediately of circumstances that may result in an inability to complete assigned work. Meets annual competency requirements before evaluation date.
- Able to complete at least 75% of the tasks and duties that are defined in the Environmental Service Worker Job Tasks. (Attached) More than 75% exceeds standards for job knowledge.
- Demonstrates satisfactory attendance and reliability. Has less than 4 occurrences of absence or tardiness each year. Less than 4 occurrences exceeds the standards for attendance.
- Acquires knowledge relative to the healthcare Environmental Services field by attending all in-service sessions offered or by seeking out information from supervisors.
- Participates in meetings and contributes towards performance improvement efforts in the department and in the organization.
- Attains personal goals for performance improvement agreed upon in previous evaluations
This position is represented by CHEU and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
