The posted compensation range of $43.10 - $64.11 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
Job Summary and Responsibilities
In keeping with the Mercy Gilbert Medical Center health care philosophy, under the supervision of the Laboratory Director, the Laboratory Phlebotomy Supervisor manages, coordinates, and participates in all activities of the phlebotomy, accession and clerical sections of the laboratory. Performs and trains and reviews all duties of the Phlebotomist including routine blood collection. In addition, performs blood collections on neonates and infants. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served in the inpatient setting. Supervises the activities of Phlebotomy and Specimen Receiving to keep the work quality, productivity and morale of the phlebotomy team high. Actively participates and assists in administrative functions to include scheduling, ordering supplies, problem resolution, counseling, evaluating, interviewing, and helps ensure the efficient daily operation of the Laboratory Department in accordance with the Laboratory Customer Service Standards. Demonstrates competency in all aspects of phlebotomy and lab assistants.

Education and Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years experience in a moderate or high complexity laboratory setting.
- ASCP
Preferred:
- 1 year supervisor experience
