Job Summary and Responsibilities

This job is responsible for assisting with patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse; performs data entry, unit secretarial functions, and equipment processing.
- Direct Patient Care: Provides personal hygiene, grooming, feeding, and physical comfort (bathing, skin care, shaving, dressing).
- Mobility & Positioning: Performs lifting, turning, transferring, and ambulation of patients.
- Clinical Support & Monitoring: Monitors and documents vitals, collects/transports specimens, and reports patient condition changes to RNs.
- Unit Support & Maintenance: Maintains a clean environment, stocks supplies, and manages patient belongings during admission, discharge, or transfer.
- Equipment Sanitation: Cleans, disinfects, and maintains mobile non-critical medical equipment according to standards.
- Compliance & Safety: Performs all duties within scope of practice, following infection control protocols and safety standards.
Job Requirements
- Completion of an accredited Nursing Assistant program, upon hire or military medical specialty training
- Certified Nursing Assistant: WA
- Basic Life Support - CPR required through through the American Heart Association
Preferred
- Six months related work experience and
- Experience in a hospital setting and a specialty unit.
- Preference is given toward applicants with experience as both a Certified Nursing Assistant and Unit Coordinator.
