The posted compensation range of $19.62 - $29.69 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Join our team as a Sterile Equipment Tech Lead. In the Sterile Equipment Tech Lead role you will:
- Perform routine tasks relating to the decontamination, processing, sterilization and distribution of instruments, equipment and sterile supplies.
- Be responsible for general operating and monitoring of sterilization, maintaining records in compliance with AAMI, AORN, Joint Commission, and OSHA standards.
- Maintain certification, monitors and instructs certified and non-certified personnel.
- Communicate with departments and staff throughout the day to maintain a smooth work-flow.
- Assure daily task assignments are completed. May be requested to assume responsibility in the absence of the Supervisor and/or Manager.
- Be involve with training in competency of tasks performed by the staff and participates in hospital wide educational projects.
Schedule: Mainly days but based on department needs
Job Requirements
In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
- 2 years of sterile equipment processing, required
- Computer skills, required
- HS/GED required
- One of the following primary Central Services certifications is required upon hire or transfer: CRCST, CBSPDT
- One of the following post-primary certifications is required within one year of hire or transfer: CIS, CSIS, CER, CFER, CHL, CSPM, CASSPT
Physical Requirements-Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
