The posted compensation range of $53.17 - $61.90 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Responsibilities
Position Summary:
Under general medical and supervisory direction administers the full range of respiratory care modalities in all patient care areas. Initiates and terminates mechanical ventilation per Cardiac surgery protocol or physician orders. Operates and maintains blood gas analyzer. Provides quality respiratory care services including routine and complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures designed to evaluate stabilize prevent or remedy neonatal pediatric adult and geriatric pulmonary abnormalities. Utilizes a multi-disciplinary plan of care including respiratory care protocols assesses indications initiates appropriate therapeutic interventions and evaluates anticipated outcomes. Acts as a clinical resource person to department and hospital patient care team. Provides education to patients and their families. Willingness to work where needed in NICU L&D ED and ICU.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Completion of an AMA-approved respiratory therapy program
- Bachelors degree in Respiratory Care or Health Sciences or credentialed in one of the following by the National Board of Respiratory Care:
- Advanced Critical Care Specialty
- Neonatal/Pediatric Specialist
- Certified/Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist
- Minimum of five (5) years of acute care experience with one (1) year of critical care experience
- If qualified candidates are unavailable training positions may be considered depending on staffing needs
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA) based on facility requirements
- Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner with the state of California.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current California Registered Respiratory Thereapist (RRT) license
