Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), you will provide vital direct patient care, significantly contributing to patient well-being and recovery as an integral part of our compassionate healthcare team.
Every day, you will assess patient conditions, administer medications, perform prescribed treatments, and meticulously document care. You will collaborate with RNs and physicians to implement individualized care plans, ensuring a seamless and high-quality patient experience.

- Consistently delivers exceptional patient experiences through proactive engagement, empathetic communication, professional conduct, and strict adherence to Dignity Health standards, ensuring continuous updates and solutions for any delays
- Executes all duties with precision, meeting Dignity Health standards for patient care, administrative tasks, and compliance, including exemplary phone performance, accurate documentation, efficient scheduling, and meticulous medication and equipment management
- Proactively enhances efficiency, collaborates effectively, seeks timely guidance, maintains situational awareness, and swiftly resolves issues/responds to communications for immediate attention and preparedness
- Drives efficiency, reduces waste, upholds professional standards, supports team flexibility, and continuously seeks ways to boost physician productivity
- Maximizes resource utilization through diligent equipment maintenance, lean supply management, efficient time use, policy adherence, and meticulous handling of billing data
- Actively seeks and incorporates feedback from patients and colleagues, proactively identifies and implements more efficient, resource-lean methods, asks insightful questions, reports necessary improvements, and consistently offers innovative ideas and solutions to problems
Required
- Satisfactory completion of a formal Licensed Vocational Nurse program pursuant to the Division of Allied Health Professions or military training that is equivalent to an accredited Licensed Vocational Nurse program (Determination made by Dignity Health Medical Foundation H.R. department in conjunction with the State Division) of Allied Health Professions.)
- Three (3) years experience in an outpatient setting as a Licensed Vocational Nurse
- Current and valid Licensed Vocational Nurse: CA license (LVN:CA)
- Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills are essential
- Knowledge of medical terminology, familiarity with CPT and ICD-9 coding procedures and reference tools, and pharmacology appropriate to the Licensed Vocational Nurse scope of practice is essential to this position
Preferred
- Familiarity with an electronic practice management system
