Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Director Nursing Perioperative Services at Mercy Hospital of Folsom you will be responsible for Surgical Services including Main OR, Pre-Op, PACU, GI, and SPD. We have 4 main operating rooms with a robust surgical services program supporting many specialties, and recently became a Center of Excellence for Robotics. 

You will direct the operations, work with Sr. Leadership on key initiatives, and work with the Nurse Manager Periop, Supervisor Pre-Op/PACU, Supervisor SPD, and other front-line leaders to ensure we maintain high standards of patient care. You will advise medical staff, other department heads, and administrators in matters related to patient care, clinical best practices, and strategies.You will communicate the organization’s goals to the staff as we constantly seek to better serve our community by improving patient experience and delivering exceptional quality care.

We are looking for an experienced leader, with a track record of success overseeing Perioperative services for an acute-care Hospital, who is a strategic thinker with experience in service line growth and development.

Job Requirements
Required Education and Experience: 
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (e.g. BSN) or equivalent education and experience and Master's degree in nursing or other-related field (e.g., MSN/MBA/MHA) required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience required.
  • Minimum two (2) years of leadership experience required.
Required Licensure: 
  • Registered Nursing License (RN) in CA required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
