Responsibilities
Virginia Mason Medical Center, recognized among the Best Hospitals in Washington state by U.S. News & World Report, seeks a highly skilled and compassionate Per Diem Registered Nurse (RN) for our Interventional Pain Clinic in Seattle. The Ambulatory Interventional/Procedural RN will provide monitored sedation care to patients undergoing a variety of interventional pain management procedures. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, critical thinking, and collaborative teamwork. You will be instrumental in ensuring patient comfort, safety, and optimal outcomes throughout their procedural experience. Specific responsibilities include:
- Providing pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure nursing care for patients undergoing procedures such as epidural steroid therapy, facet and sacroiliac joint therapy, intrathecal and epidural injections, nerve blocks, spinal cord and peripheral nerve stimulation, and trigger point therapy.
- Monitoring vital signs, ECG, and other physiological parameters during sedation.
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Maintaining accurate and complete patient records.
- Collaborating effectively with physicians, other nurses, and support staff.
- Educating patients and families about procedures and post-procedure care.
- Assisting with the preparation and maintenance of the procedural area.
- Adhering to strict infection control protocols.

Qualifications
We require:
- Current WA State RN license is required.
- CPR certification is required every two years or as specified by the work.
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing approved by the Washington State Board of Nursing.
- Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements
