The posted compensation range of $33.36 - $49.69 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Responsibilities
Franciscan Medical Group, as part of Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, is currently seeking a full time Rad Tech for our Franciscan Family Medicine Clinic in Feberal Way, WA. Free parking and no weekends or organizationally recognized holidays required.
Job Summary:
Operates radiology equipment to make clinical diagnostic imaging films as directed by physicians and performs routine diagnostic procedures.
Essential Duties:
- Positions patients and adjusts equipment for taking diagnostic images following established procedures.
- Instructs patients regarding procedures. Selects length and intensity for radiation exposure by adjusting equipment on individual patient basis. Observes patients for vital signs during examination.
- Follows prescribed safety standards in operating radiology equipment; cleans and makes minor adjustments to radiological equipment. Maintains examination rooms. Stocks necessary medical and radiological supplies
- Develops and processes radiological film, if applicable. Examines radiology film and/or digital exams for properties such as density and contracts, definition, magnification and distortion.
- Delivers film to radiologists for reading/interpretation through various computer software systems, if applicable. Prepares films and/or digital copies for FMG Physician/providers or outside provider needs. .
- Participates in training employees, residents and student technologists in equipment operation, patient movement, and quality assurance.
- Attends required meetings and participates in committees as requested; enhances professional growth through continuing education programs, conferences and workshops.
Qualifications
Education/ Work Experience:
- Graduate of an accredited school of radiological technology, equivalent on the job training, or military service or course.
- Within the last two- (2) years, one- (1) year of experience as a radiology technologist preferred.
Licensure/Certifications:
- State of Washington certification as a Radiology Technologist.
- Washington State American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT/CCRT) certification required.
- Must have a current CPR certification or must be certified within 30 days of hire date.
