The posted compensation range of $46.2 - $71.14 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our CT Tech, you will operate diagnostic equipment and perform vital imaging procedures so patients can receive accurate diagnoses and effective treatment. You will provide critical patient orientation, procedure explanation, and essential pre and post-diagnostic care to ensure the successful completion of tests.
Every day, you will perform CT exams on patients according to specific departmental procedure protocols under the Medical Director's direction. You will be expected to facilitate patient understanding by reviewing physician orders, communicating with radiologists for proper exam protocols, and adapting to diverse patient needs while ensuring equipment is operational and safe.
To be successful in this role, you must possess the ability to independently perform complete diagnostic imaging tests, demonstrate a strong commitment to patient safety, and communicate effectively with both patients and clinical staff.
Job RequirementsRequired
- A high school diploma or GED
- Washington State Certification for Radiologic Technologist and a certificate from the American Registry or Radiological Technology (ARRT) as well as a current registration ARRT
- Current CPR validation
- Strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, pathophysiology, and sterile techniques
- Basic IV procedure and IV contrast administration
- The ability to work with highly technical equipment
- Proficient computer skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical ability to lift equipment and assist in moving large patients
- Advanced ARRT certification in CT within one (1) year of hire.
Preferred
- One (1) year of experience in CT imaging and/or a minimum two (2) years of experience in Diagnostic Radiology
- Preference will be given to applicants who hold national certification in any advanced Radiological modality
