Job Summary and Responsibilities

The Audiologist is responsible for providing comprehensive diagnostic and rehabilitative audiologic services to patients of all ages. This includes evaluating hearing and balance disorders, counseling patients regarding hearing health, recommending appropriate interventions, and fitting and managing hearing aids and assistive devices. The Audiologist will deliver patient-centered care in alignment with best practices and professional standards, contributing to a collaborative and compassionate clinical environment. In addition, this position offers opportunities to participate in specialty teams that may include cochlear implants, balance assessment, pediatric diagnostics and hearing aids

Key Responsibilities:
● Conduct comprehensive audiologic evaluations, including pure tone, speech, immittance, and otoacoustic emission testing.
● Perform hearing aid and bone anchored hearing implant evaluations, fittings, verification (REM), and follow-up care.
● Provide counseling to patients and families regarding results, rehabilitation options, and realistic expectations.
● Manage hearing aid repairs, adjustments, and cleanings.
● Maintain accurate documentation in patient records and ensure compliance with HIPAA and state regulations.
● Work collaboratively with ENT physicians, medical staff, and other healthcare professionals as part of a multidisciplinary team.
● Participate in community outreach, patient education, and hearing conservation programs as needed.
● Stay current with developments in audiology through continuing education and adherence to professional certification requirements.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:


● Master's Degree requird, Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree preferred.
● Current state licensure for dispensing hearing aids within the state of WA is required
● Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from ASHA preferred.
● Minimum of 1–3 years of clinical experience preferred (new graduates considered).

● Proficiency with audiologic equipment, hearing aid software, and electronic medical records (EMR).
● Excellent communication, counseling, and interpersonal skills.
● Commitment to patient-centered care and professional ethics.

Work Environment:
● VMFH Federal Way clinic
● Full-time (1.0 FTE), main location will be Federal Way, with 1 day in Seattle
● May include occasional community events or outreach activities.
