The posted compensation range of $42.78 - $64.56 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our CT Technologist, you will utilize your expertise to capture precise diagnostic images, enabling our Radiologists to accurately diagnose and/or rule out diverse medical conditions.
Every day, you will adeptly create detailed cross-sectional images of the skeleton, tissues, and internal organs. Your compassionate interaction and skill in patient care will be crucial, as you play a significant role in fostering a positive and comforting patient experience throughout the imaging process.
To be successful in this role, you will deeply understand the critical importance of diagnostic imaging. This includes a comprehensive knowledge of general imaging workflow, various patient positioning techniques, and the ability to consistently capture clear results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses that guide effective patient care.
- Operate diagnostic CT equipment, including General Electric CT scanners and workstations, to perform all diagnostic CT studies according to formal protocols.
- Provide comprehensive patient care across all age groups, explaining procedures, addressing questions, and acting as a liaison between the patient and radiologist.
- Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and document patient care notes and incident reports as needed during the CT procedure.
- Ensure patient comfort and protection from radiation by utilizing appropriate procedures, accessories, and consulting protocol manuals to minimize exposure.
- Complete all assigned examinations, including filming, jacket retrieval, and locating old images, while recording applicable exam codes and supplies used.
- Perform incidental office duties, enter patient data into computer databases, and conduct Quality Assurance audits as assigned to maintain timely and complete patient records.
Required
- Graduation from an accredited school of Radiological Technology, (including course work in cross-sectional anatomy and/or demonstrated skill/knowledge in cross-sectional anatomy), upon hire and
- One year of work experience in the senior level of the core job family or
- any combination of experience or education that would demonstrate the ability to perform the duties of the position
- Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT, upon hire and
- Basic Life Support (through AHA) - CPR, upon hire and
- Medical Radiographer: WA, upon hire
