Job Summary / Purpose
The System Director, Employee Health is a strategic leadership role responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing a comprehensive employee health program and ensuring a safe and healthy workplace for all employees of CommonSpirit Health. The System Director, Employee Health will lead a team of health professionals and collaborate with key leaders and stakeholders across the organization to create and deliver innovative programs that improve employee health outcomes and employee safety, reduce healthcare costs, and enhance employee engagement and productivity.
Essential Key Job Responsibilities
- Leads, directs and oversees the Employee Health function, including all Employee Health programs and initiatives, and related work designed to improve the health, safety, and wellbeing of employees.
- Develops, evaluates, and implements comprehensive Employee Health programs across the Organization.
- Represents the Employee Health function within the Organization, communicating health initiatives and employee health-related data to all stakeholders.
- Communicates effectively with employees and leaders about health initiatives, programs, and resources.
- Monitors and analyzes employee health data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Conducts regular assessments to identify employee health risks and priorities.
- Collaborates with HR, management, and other departments to address employee health concerns and promote a positive work environment.
- Develops and maintains policies and procedures related to employee health and safety.
- Establishes, prioritizes and implements tactical plans to meet strategic goals, including new and expanded services for program growth and enhancement.
- Coaches, mentors, and evaluates Employee Health leaders and staff to promote employee engagement, development and success.
- Collaborates with key stakeholders to optimize the new employee experience.
- Ensures compliance with licensing, federal, state and local regulatory agencies and public health requirements within scope of responsibilities.
- Collaborating with other responsible leaders, drives a culture of health and safety.
- Ensures compliance with relevant health and safety regulations, standards, and guidelines.
- Manages the Employee Health budget and resources effectively.
- Serves on internal management boards and committees, as requested.
- Responsible for remaining knowledgeable on Healthcare Industry's trends, directions, major issues, regulatory considerations and trendsetters; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.

Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree and five (5) years relevant work experience, or a combination of relevant education and/or experience that demonstrates the required minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities, as outlined in the job description.
A minimum of five (5) years in a leadership role, managing a team of health professionals.

- Proven track record in management role, including the ability to improve processes, and workflows.
