Responsibilities

Job Summary
The Compensation Analyst supports compensation programs from plan design through implementation and ongoing administration. Applies solid knowledge of compensation (base and variable pay) and data to provide analytical insight to inform compensation-related decisions and programs. Responsible for analytical support, ongoing research, modeling and compensation analysis for base pay and incentive programs. Supports the job evaluation process and salary recommendations ensuring internal equity and market alignment by applying standard job evaluation methodologies. Manages and participates in salary surveys and studies labor markets to identify compensation trends.

Job Standards
1 Job Specific Duties
1.1 Provide analytic support for compensation program management and implementation, including but not limited to: base pay administration, annual salary increase processes, variable pay program administration and ad-hoc compensation projects.
1.2 Conduct job evaluations and provide salary recommendations to ensure internal equity and market alignment of compensation programs. Prepare regular and ad-hoc reports regarding market compensation data and internal company compensation information.
1.3 Participate in salary surveys; analyze salary survey results, design salary structures and create job families.
1.4 Ensure accuracy of compensation-related data that is maintained within company information systems and databases.
1.5 Support the delivery, education and communication of the annual salary review and incentive processes.
1.6 Review requests for new or revised jobs to determine appropriate salary grade assignment and FLSA status.
1.7 Partner with technology team to ensure continuous improvement of process and technology in support of compensation programs.
1.8 Support Compensation Consultants and HR Business Partners in resolving compensation-related questions and making recommendations to resolve outstanding issues.
1.9 Participate in special projects as assigned, including executive compensation analysis, labor negotiations support and M&A activities.


Qualifications

Experience
A minimum of 3 years progressive compensation or analytics experience (required).
A minimum of 5 years progressive compensation experience (preferred).


Education
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field (required).

Licensure
Certified Compensation Professional (preferred). CT CCMP


Special Skills
Special skills required inlcude: demonstrated advanced level proficiency in Excel and HRIS applications using quantitative analysis, charting, pivot tables, formulas/algorithms, trend analysis and graphing; direct work experience in compensation design, analysis & administration; strong quantitative, analytical, and problem solving skills; and experience using word processing and presentation software.

Training
Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) is preferred.
