The posted compensation range of $46.96 - $68.10 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary
We are seeking a Cerner BMDI Care Aware Specialist. This position involves working with the Cerner BMDI Care Aware system.
Job Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain the Cerner BMDI Care Aware system
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for system users
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate the system with other healthcare technologies
- Conduct system upgrades and enhancements as needed
- Train staff on system functionalities and best practices
- Ensure data security and compliance with regulatory standards
- Business Process Analysis & Optimization: Analyze existing business processes and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement and automation. Develop detailed technical specifications and solution designs to implement these improvements.
- Agile Development & Collaboration: Lead and actively participate in agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-up, sprint review, retrospective). Collaborate effectively with business analysts, scrum masters, QA analysts, product owners, and other cross-functional teams to define and deliver impactful projects.
- Software Development & Deployment: Design, develop, test, and deploy end-to-end DevOps solutions using .NET, Java, and other relevant technologies. Write code and scripts to enhance or customize processes. Proficient in languages like Java, C#, Python, Angular, Spring, and scripting languages.
- Data & Analytics: Leverage expertise in Microsoft BI software (SSRS, SSIS, SSAS), Blackbaud CRM SDK (Infinity SDK), and analytics tools (SRSS, PowerBI, Tableau) to analyze data and inform solution development.
- Documentation & Communication: Document and demonstrate solutions through clear and concise documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and code. Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Testing & Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing of solutions to ensure accuracy, reliability, and scalability. Debug and resolve issues that arise during testing or production.
- Security & Compliance: Implement security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure all implementations comply with organizational policies, industry regulations, and security standards.
- Mentorship & Training: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers or team members. Conduct training sessions to share best practices and knowledge on used tools and techniques.
- Production Support & On-Call: Support deployments, troubleshoot production issues, and participate in on-call rotations as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training, and experience in a senior-level Healthcare environment.
- 5+ years of experience working in IT as a Software Engineer or equivalent software development role is required.
- Proven experience working with Cerner BMDI Care Aware system
- Strong understanding of healthcare IT systems and workflows
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Certification in Cerner BMDI Care Aware is a plus
- 2+ years of experience with the Infinity SDK for Blackbaud CRM is preferred.
- 2+ years of experience writing reports for Blackbaud CRM and Blackbaud Raiser's Edge is preferred.
- 2+ years of experience using Brightvine's Data Loader is preferred.
- 2+ years of experience using Zuri's Velocity is preferred.
- Technical: .NET, Java, Python, Angular, Spring, scripting languages, Microsoft BI software (SSRS, SSIS, SSAS), Blackbaud CRM SDK (Infinity SDK), analytics tools (SRSS, PowerBI, Tableau).
- Process & Methodology: Agile development methodologies, business process analysis, DevOps principles.
